  • “What I like about workforce class is we learn about ourselves and others more than just what we thought we knew about them, like everyone is open and people don't judge them for that and that's nice everyone has trust on each other. This class taught me what kind of person I am by our reflections and the more I started writing about my reflections I started to notice what kind of person I am and what I actually like, and what I know about things. For out Ontrack I think it's fine but it's also very useful because it does gives us advice so Ontrack is really helpful for our future.”

    —Millyberth

  • "What I like about our workforce class is that everyone is so open to sharing there opinions on a statement and question. I also like that how we learn about all of the 5 Pillars of Liguori and what they mean. I learned about myself and finding the person I am today. Another thing I like is ONTRACK I feel like it actually gives us good advice as ninth graders and what to look forward to when were older. So overall Workforce is an easy and good class to be in."

    —Ariel

  • “The things I like about the Workforce class would be the OnTrack, The teacher Ms. Catherine, and also the reflections. The OnTrack is very easy to complete and also gives us tips for certain things we didn't think of before. The teacher Ms. Catherine is a good educator and also very down to earth which is something I appreciate because you don't always get teachers like that. The reflections are one of the things I find fun because you get to have your feelings out in a way and I also just like it because I like writing, I think the reflections help us in a way to get our feelings out and also no matter what you write you won't ever be judge.”

Liguori’s National Reach

Across the country, research increasingly shows that students benefit when education is directly connected to real career pathways. Employers consistently report a growing skills gap, noting that many graduates leave school without the hands on experience or technical credentials needed for today’s workforce. Studies from organizations such as the Center for Education Reform and workforce development leaders across the country highlight that industry credentials, internships, and career-connected learning experiences significantly improve students’ postsecondary outcomes, leading to higher employment rates, stronger earnings potential, and clearer career direction. Programs that combine classroom learning with real world work experiences help students develop both technical skills and professional habits such as communication, reliability, and problem solving. For schools like Liguori Academy, integrating paid internships, industry certifications, and employer partnerships ensures that students graduate not only prepared for college, but equipped with the skills, experience, and credentials needed to succeed in the modern workforce.
