Liguori in the News: Volunteer Day with NEST and Phillies

Liguori Academy partners with NEST and the Philadelphia Phillies for a volunteer day at the Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys and Girls Club.
On July 11, Liguori Academy students and faculty attended a volunteer day at the Shane Victorino Boys and Girls Club in Nicetown, PA, to volunteer alongside NEST and the Philadelphia Phillies to kickoff MLB All-Star Week
At the event, students and faculty worked to paint the building, restore landscaping with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, rake the softball field, pack backpacks and hygiene kits, and write encouraging notes to students.
Volunteers were joined by former Major League players Shane Victorino, CC Sabathia, Chris Young, Michael Bourn, Jason Kendall, Scott Kazmir, Nick Swisher, Dellin Betances, and Kenny Lofton, who also assisted in beautifying the spaces.
